Biography of Melba E. Moore-Suggs
Melba E. Moore- Suggs was born and raised in Glassboro. She attended the Glassboro Public School system. She graduated from Glassboro High School in 1991. During high school, Melba was an active member of the Student Government Association (SGA), the Black Culture Club (BCC), orchestra, and the GHS Marching Band Front.
Melba then attended Rowan College and graduated in 1995 with Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Sociology. She worked in the education field as an elementary/middle school teacher for ten years at Cherry Street School in Bridgeton, NJ.
Melba then entered Rowan University and graduated in 2005 earning a Masters of Arts degree in Student Personnel Services. She began working at the Paulsboro Jr. /Sr. High School in 2005 where she continues to work in education as a guidance counselor.
In addition, Melba is a faithful participant in church and community activities. She attends Gospel Tabernacle Church, where she is a youth leader, member of the praise and worship team, attends Sunday school and sings with the choir. She is also the Vice Chairman of AIM (Aiming, Improving, Mastering) High Achievers, Inc. a community based organization.
Melba has been married to Clinton Suggs Jr. of Bridgeton NJ since 1997. She has three boys Climonte, Claivon & Clinton III.
