Subjects Taught

Raised in Gibbstown, I graduated PHS in 1996.  I attended Camden County College for two years then transferred to Rowan University to major in Graphic Design and Illustration.  Before long, I changed my major to Art Education and graduated in the Spring of 2001 with a B.A. in Art and a certificate to teach art for grades K-12.

I was hired in the fall of 2001 to teach art for Gibbstown schools.  In 2004, I was named Teacher of the Year for Nehaunsey Middle School.  Following the untimely passing of my mentor, Mr. William A. Gaines, in 2005, I started teaching at PHS.   I now teach Art 1 and Art Service. I teach my classes in tribute to one of Paulsboro High School's greatest faculty members, Mr. Gaines.  What a terrific honor!

I am also involved with many events throughout the year and contribute with the promotion of everyone who works and learns inside our school, as well as advise Student Council.  In the Spring of 2013, my colleagues nominated and voted me as "Professional of the Year."

I married my husband in 2006.  Our son Spencer was born on 2-24-12 and our son Dalton was born on 12-9-13.  In my spare time I enjoy painting murals and canvases.
